20 July 1934
The "Società Anonima Franco-Italiana Merluzzi" (aka S.A.F.I.M., literally 'French-Italian Anonimous Society for Codfish'), specialized in processing and drying of cod, is founded in Avigliana, near Turin in Italy.
the 50's
The economic changes of those years induce the company to change course by developing the storage area; in this way S.A.F.I.M. becomes one of the first Italian refrigerated warehouse.
In 1959, following the enlargement of the plant, Safim asked for and obtained permission to be a Customs Refrigerated General Warehouse.
the 80's
Crivello's family took over the company, and implement transports and goods management to the mere storage services.
2005
With 70 years of experience, S.A.F.I.M. opens a new plant in None (Turin), making available to commercial or industrial businesses and Department Stores its expertise in cold logistics and refrigerated transports, through a comprehensive range of solutions for specific needs and, in addition, 10,000 square meters of refrigerated warehouses.
2009
S.A.F.I.M. celebrates the 75th anniversary of its founding and unveils a new cell at -20 ° C, featuring a surface of 2500 square meters. So, the area designated for storage and handling of fresh goods, well increases from 10000 to 12500 square meters total.
The annual handling of refrigerated goods reaches 80 million kg.
2010
New worksite opening, for the construction of further 4000 square meters of refrigerated rooms.
